Just an update so no one gets lost:
I didn't share it here yet, but since we are in London and there is no family and much friends around we are going to "skip" Amélia's first birthday. Ok, calm down! This sounds too sad. We are not not celebrating her birthday, we just chose to party by ourselves [meaning no party for friends around]. Instead of throwing a big party and spending a lot of money we decided to go out for a few days and Brighton is the place!
That's it: we are celebrating Amélia's First Birthday in Brighton. Just the three of us, like everyday. At least that's what makes sense for us. She will have a cake, we will sing her Happy Birthday [we sing to her every month since she was born] and it will be a little family party. Honestly, I can't wait for those days :) But stay tuned because I will definitely be sharing everything with you.
We thought about Brigton because is a place we always wanted to visit [well, at least since we moved to London]. And also because we heard very good things about it.
Our plan is to leave on the day Amélia was born, 13th of June, very very early so we can be there before lunch time. We are going to rent a car so I think it will take up to 1h30min, more or less.
What about the place? Where are we staying? Is it an Hotel? A house? An apartment? [Thanks for asking, btw ;)]
Nothing is decided, and I know that is only two weeks away.
Anyway, I was doing my usual research online, about places to visit, places to stay, when I just thought about the app I have on my phone [I'm sure tons of people have it as well]: Air B&B.
It's an amazing application and website, that shows you places to stay wherever you go. It hosts more than 34,000 cities in 190 countries. And I'm not talking about expensive Hotels, I'm talking about nice apartments for a family, a house with pool, a bedroom in a house with breakfast home made every morning, or just a place to share and enjoy with friends.
It's amazing, it has plenty of great places and most of them are completely affordable!
So that's what we are planing: rent a flat for a few days through the Air B&B App.
I will share more details of the place as soon as we have everything sorted.

Um pequeno update para ninguém se perder:
Ainda não tinha partilhado nada disto, mas uma vez que estamos por Londres e que não temos família nenhuma por cá e os amigos não são muitos decidimos "saltar" o aniversário da Amélia. Ok, calma! Claro que não vamos "não celebrar" o aniversário, simplesmente decidimos fazer a festa só para nós. Em vez de fazer uma mega festa e gastar dinheiro [e mais dinheiro] decidimos passear e Brighton foi a cidade eleita!
É isso mesmo: vamos celebrar o primeiro aniversário da Amélia em Brighton. Só nós os três, como todos os dias. É assim que faz sentido para nós. Ela vai ter um bolo, vamos-lhe cantar os parabéns [como cantamos todos os meses desde que nasceu] e vai ser uma pequena festa de família. Sinceramente estou ansiosa :) Mas fiquem atentos porque vou andar praqui a partilhar tudo.
Pensamos em Brighton porque sempre foi um sítio que quisemos visitar [pelo menos desde que viemos para Londres]. E também porque já ouvimos coisas muito boas acerca da cidade. O nosso plano é fazer-nos à estrada super cedo, no dia de anos da Amélia, 13 de Junho, para chegarmos lá antes do almoço. Vamos alugar um carro por isso devemos demorar cerca de 1h e 30min a lá chegar, mais ou menos.
Então e o lugar onde vão ficar? E o Hotel? Ou casa? Ou apartamento? [já agora, obrigada por perguntarem ;)]
Ainda não está nada decidido, e sim, eu sei que só faltam duas semanas.
Anyway, andava eu nas minhas pesquisas online, locais a visitar, sítios onde ficar, quando me lembrei da app que tenho meu telefone [e que certamente centenas de pessoas também]: Air B&B.
É uma applicação fantástica, e web site também, que nos mostra locais para ficar onde quer que vamos. Já se podemos escolher entre 34.000 cidades em 190 países. E não, não estou a falar de hotéis caríssimos, estou a falar de apartamentos giros para uma família, uma casa com piscina, um quarto numa casa com pequeno-almoço pronto todas as manhãs, ou um sítio para partilhar e aproveitar com os amigos.
É fantástica e há imensos sítios para escolher e, maioritariamente, a preços rasoáveis.
Portanto, é isso que estamos a planear: alugar um apartamento através da Air B&B.
Vou-vos manter informados assim que tivermos todos os detalhes planeados.
